Following 8 years spent in private practice, Architect Sam Westbrook founded Gain Design Ltd in 2022. Sam studied at the Manchester School of Architecture and gained his qualification while working in London. Since qualifying Sam has held positions at several well established practices including: The Fredrick Gibberd Partnership, LTS Architects & Corstorphine & Wright. Sam has worked on projects across a broad range of sectors, scales and budgets (ranging from £100,000 to £40 Million). As well as being a qualified Architect, Sam is also a Certified Passive House Designer, having gained certification from the Passive House Institute in 2021. Sam is passionate about the design and delivery of projects that are attractive, comfortable and which rely on low levels of energy to operate and run. Now, with the creation of Gain Design, Sam is looking to draw on his experience and expertise to provide his clients with full Architectural services from concept through to construction.

Gain also provide contract architectural services to other independent Architecture practices. We are pleased to be working alongside the very talented Host Architecture & Design & Lineworks Architects and are excited to be assisting on a number of sustainably focused projects with an emphasis on the importance of design.
